9 Manor Road Lullingworth Castle Ayot St Lawrence

Lady Zoe Dyke was born on 6th February 1896 at 9 Manor Road Leyton (photo above left), the daughter of Barnabas Mayston Bond, medical practitioner.  She set up silkworm farms at Lullingstone Castle, Kent (photo above right) and Ayot St Lawrence, Hertfordshire (photo below).  In 1936 Queen Mary paid an official visit to the silkworm farm at Lullingstone Castle.
