My working life was also both in Leyton and Leytonstone. My first job at 15 years was with Refrigeration Spares at Harrow Green, then on to Arcola Meteor Shoes in Leyton High Road, and my favourite job where I was employed for 8 years was with Chubb & Sons / Hobbs Hart / Chatwood Milner who were Lock and Safe manufacturers in Staffa Road Leyton. Another recall from childhood was Rosina Pulleys Dancing School at Harrow Green.”
